Initial Assessment

Please note that our initial appointments usually last 40 minutes, so plan accordingly.

Subjective Assessment

A discussion on how the injury occurred, the treatment undertaken, and an assessment of your current symptoms will provide insight into your condition and recovery.

Physical Examination

A comprehensive examination of:

1. Neurological system (cranial nerves, cerebellum, autonomic function)

2. Cognitive function

3. Vestibular-ocular motor function (eyes and ears)

4. Cervical spine (neck).

Treatment Management Plan

  1. Education on concussion and expected timeframes for resolution of symptoms.

  2. Exercises that address any dysfunctions found in the physical examination.

  3. A clear plan on how to to get back to sport, work, school, etc.

  4. Documentation/report writing if required.

  • Initial Concussion Assessment

    $140 / 40mins

    New patients will undergo an evaluation of symptoms & cognitive function after a head injury to create a plan for recovery. This detailed process includes;

    A look into your medical history,

    Examination of physical symptoms,

    Assessment of cognitive abilities (memory & concentration),

    Assessment of neurological function (vestibular-oculomotor screening, cranial nerve examination & neck function examination).

    After the evaluation, we’ll then explain any underlying cause/s of your symptoms, answer any questions you may have and then create a clear plan to follow in order to get you back to living your life normally.
